Clickmarks, a provider of software

the growing list of companies in
the Star Partner Program of BEA
Systems, Inc., one of the world's
leading e-business infrastructure
software companies.
As part of the relationship, Clickmarks
has integrated its Habitat™
software and add-on services for
wireless carriers with the BEA WebLogic
E-Business Platform™. Utilizing
BEA Weblogic®, Clickmarks can
accelerate customization of its
software for each customer and simplify
deployment by enabling IT departments
to leverage their existing BEA e-business
infrastructure. In addition, BEA
Weblogic also enhances Clickmarks'
security, scalability and reliability.
Clickmarks' software includes Enterprise
Habitat™, an Enterprise Information
Portal (EIP) infrastructure that
enables employees to access any
content, and perform any transaction,
on any device; Mobile Habitat™,
a portal infrastructure for wireless
carriers; and Re:ACT!™, an
add-on message, notes and location
service for wireless carriers.
Clickmarks' Enterprise Habitat
for enterprise users and Mobile
Habitat portal infrastructure for
wireless carriers allow end users
to access their most frequently
needed information in a single location,
without having to switch applications
or navigate through non-essential
screens. Each Enterprise Habitat
includes key information from enterprise
applications, production systems,
databases and data warehouses, as
well as e-mail and content from
any Web page. For wireless carriers,
a Mobile Habitat includes any content
the carrier or the end user desires.
Information is automatically updated
to reflect changes in customer history,
inventory levels, stock prices or
other data built into the Habitat
by the user.
Re:ACT! generates incremental revenues
for wireless carriers by allowing
consumers to store notes, send text
messages using the Short Message
Service (SMS) protocol, and access
the provider's location services
for maps, driving directions and
nearby facilities.
