Portlet Factory for Enterprise Portal

Clickmarks announced today that
Network Appliance Inc., the leading
network storage solutions company,
will be using the Clickmarks Portlet
Factory to create portlets for their
Internal BEA Weblogic Portal.
Through Clickmarks’ Portal
Factory, Network Appliance was able
to design, build and deploy portlets
in a fraction of the time it would
have taken using traditional integration
methods. The portlets created using
the Clickmarks Portlet Factory also
integrate seamlessly with internal
ERP systems and provide Single Sign-On
capabilities. Moreover, by leveraging
the caching capabilities of the
Portlet Factory, loads on the ERP
system were minimized.
The Clickmarks Portlet Factory
provides a design time environment
to design portlets and a runtime
server to deploy and run them. The
design tool provides a visual environment
for creating complex portlets for
industry standard portal environments
such as Sun, BEA Weblogic, Plumtree,
IBM WebSphere, Oracle 9iAS Portal
Server and Vignette etc. Using the
patented Presentation
Level Integration (PLI) technology,
Portlet Factory enables developers
to create and deploy portlets that
integrate functionality from existing
application systems across the enterprise.
Using the Clickmarks solution, developers
interact with the original applications
through the user interface - just
like a normal user would –
capturing relevant content and functionality

reduces portlet development time
