FREMONT, CALIFORNIA – March

Clickmarks, the pioneer in Presentation
Level Integration™ (PLI)
and rapid portlet creation, today
announced an alliance with Plumtree
Software (NasdaqNM:PLUM - News)
to provide Clickmarks' Portlet Factory
for building Plumtree-powered portal
applications. The Clickmarks Portlet
Factory enables Plumtree's customers
to build portlets that access content
and functionality from Web, mainframe
and client server applications,
which are deployed to the Plumtree
Corporate Portal. The Portlet Factory
helps enable end users of Plumtree
Software to shorten development
cycles by simplifying and increasing
the speed of integration.
The Portlet Factory for Plumtree
Corporate Portal has been integrated
with the Plumtree Enterprise Web
Development Kit and with Plumtree's
JSR 168 portlet container making
it easy for Plumtree customers to
use.
"We are very excited for Clickmarks
to join Plumtree's Synergy Alliance
channel partner program. This partnership
provides our customers with a great
set of software and tools to enable
them to rapidly and cost-effectively
build integration components for
Plumtree's portal platform,"
said Jay Simons, Vice President
of product marketing at Plumtree
Software. "With this solid
technology pairing, customers can
quickly integrate their existing

a tremendous benefit when building
and deploying composite applications."
Clickmarks Portlet Factory has
been deployed at a number of Plumtree
customers including the National
Biological Information Infrastructure
(NBII) Division of the U.S. Geological
Survey.
"Clickmarks technology provided
us with a set of powerful tools
to aggregate both information and
application functionality from our
research partners," said Mike
Frame, director of IT at NBII. "It
enabled us to build and enhance
large sections of the NBII portal
in record time, and at very low
cost."
"We are delighted to formalize
our partnership with Plumtree, a
long-time leader and innovator in
the portal software market,"
said Umair Khan, chairman and CEO
of Clickmarks. "The success
of our partnership comes on the
heels of significant uptake in our
portal integration solutions with
recent blue chip customer wins,
including NTT Docomo, Verizon Wireless,
Network Appliance, NTT Neomit, NDS
Japan, The City and County of San
Francisco, U.S. Geological Survey
and U.S. Navy."
The Clickmarks Portlet Factory
includes a visual application design
tool that enables programmers of
various skill levels to quickly
build applications, Web services
and portlets, using Clickmarks'
